The Sansa-Rimba is a bright, stimulating and colorful teaching and music resource and would be a great addition as school playground equipment, perfect for a care home garden or musical trail.

This outdoor musical instrument is a clever blend of two African instruments; the Sansa (thumb-piano) and a Marimba (xylophone). Using the diatonic scale and spanning two octaves (C4-C6), the 15 notes of the Sansa-Rimba are arranged as a traditional thumb-piano with the scale ascending from the center outwards.

The Sansa-Rimba is built as standard with ‘notes or keys’ in aluminum however, if preferred we can supply your Sansa Rimba with all GRP notes on request.

The two different materials give their own distinct sound when played: the aluminum produces a bright, clear tone when struck, while the GRP is fast and punchy.
